Food help in Miami-Dade and Broward
Start near home before planning a trip across counties. A neighborhood pantry, a client-services appointment and a school pantry have different access arrangements; the links below help you choose.
This guide focuses on Miami-Dade and Broward, including Miami, Hialeah, Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale. Confirm the individual provider’s service area using your address.
Where to start
Find a nearby pantry
Feeding South Florida neighborhood pantry directory
The official directory is a starting point for locating a neighborhood food program. Choose a nearby result and check its individual instructions before making a trip.
A directory listing does not confirm food is available today. Ask about appointments, your service area and pickup requirements.

Appointments and benefit application help
Feeding South Florida Benefits and Emergency Services
Client services offers a choice pantry and assistance with SNAP, WIC and TANF applications. For Broward and Miami-Dade, call 954-518-1857 to arrange an appointment.
Confirm the service location and appointment time with staff. General warehouse opening hours are not a food-pickup booking.

School and college food programs
Feeding South Florida Children’s Programs
The organization describes school-based family pantries and college pantries. Ask your school or college whether it participates and how its students or families can access food.
School programs are not all public walk-up pantries. Summer meals are seasonal, so do not treat a summer listing as a year-round service.

Search closer to home
Choose free-food results for pantries and meals. SNAP retailers are stores where eligible purchases use EBT; they are a separate search.

- Do I need an appointment or any documents? Does this site serve my address?
- Can I walk up, use public transportation or arrange for someone to collect food for me?
